Eric Love Larym Design

Eric Love

Co-Founder and Managing Director, Larym Enterprise LLC

Eric Love is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Larym Enterprise LLC, where he provides operational, financial, technical, and development leadership across the organization and its client work.

His career spans technology, ecommerce, financial management, enterprise digital platforms, web operations, infrastructure, security, compliance, organizational leadership, and business continuity. Across those disciplines, Eric has developed a particular ability to see how things work, understand the relationships and nuances within a system, and identify how that system can work better.

At Larym, that ability helps turn ideas into systems that are executable, reliable, secure, financially responsible, and sustainable over time.

Perspective

Eric grew up in a multinational household, an environment that exposed him early to different cultures, perspectives, and ways of approaching the world.

His formal education combined Accounting and Information Technology, while much of his deeper technical expertise developed through experience, curiosity, and self-directed learning.

When Eric met Myra Peterson Love in 1997, they discovered complementary ways of thinking that would eventually shape both their professional partnership and Larym. They began working together in 1998, eventually joining forces at VC funded Urban Box Office.

As Eric’s career expanded across finance, operations, ecommerce, management, and technology, so did his technical expertise. What distinguished Eric was not simply his ability to learn technology. It was his ability to understand how things worked.

He could examine a system, grasp the relationships and nuances within it, identify where it could work better, and determine how to improve it. As technologies changed, that instinct allowed him to continue learning rather than becoming defined by a particular platform or technical specialty. Over time, that ability became one of his defining forms of authority at Larym.

Foundation

Eric’s professional career began in 1997 and developed through progressively broader responsibility across finance, systems, ecommerce, operations, management, and technology.

His formal education combined Accounting and Information Technology at Virginia State University, giving him a foundation that would become increasingly important as his career moved toward the intersection of business and technology.

Early in his career, Eric worked in financial control while simultaneously managing technology infrastructure. He later served as Director of Ecommerce Operations at Urban Box Office, where he managed a multidisciplinary staff of more than 50 people across advertising sales, merchandising, project management, IT, web design, customer service, and administration. His responsibilities included 14 ecommerce-enabled websites, 24/7 customer support, operations, contingency planning, inventory management, vendors, and outsourced service providers.

Those experiences taught Eric to see technology as part of a larger operating environment. Systems had to work technically, but they also had to support people, customers, budgets, risk, continuity, and the business itself.

A Working Partnership

Eric and Myra have worked together since 1998, across companies, disciplines, changing technologies, and eventually Larym.

Their partnership has endured because it was never built on thinking alike.

They learned to respect where each is strongest, recognize where the other sees something they do not, challenge one another when necessary, and trust the judgment each brings to the business.

Both are systems thinkers, but they often enter the system from different places.

Myra tends to see relationships between identity, people, meaning, information, and systems. Eric sees relationships inside technology, operations, infrastructure, risk, finance, and execution.

That difference became an advantage.

By the time they co-founded Larym Design in 2006, they had already spent years learning how to work together. At Larym, that relationship matured into a leadership model in which ideas must withstand both strategic and operational scrutiny.

The respect they have developed for each other’s strengths and limitations has allowed both their working relationship and Larym to continue evolving.

Technology Built to Last

Since co-founding Larym Design, Eric has carried direct responsibility for much of the operational, financial, technical, development, and delivery infrastructure supporting the organization and its clients.

He leads a team of developers with deep expertise across the technologies and platforms Larym supports, bringing the right technical capabilities into the work while maintaining responsibility for how those capabilities come together, how decisions are made, and how the resulting systems perform over time.

Eric’s own technical understanding extends across web architecture, development, WordPress and enterprise content management environments, ecommerce, hosting, cloud and managed infrastructure, DNS, SSL/TLS, APIs, integrations, deployment, monitoring, backup and recovery, performance, security, maintenance, and production support.

But Eric’s role has never been limited to building or launching technology.

He thinks in lifecycles.

A platform must be architected, developed, tested, deployed, monitored, maintained, secured, improved, and supported. Decisions made during development have consequences later in performance, security, cost, maintainability, and business continuity.

That perspective has made operational stewardship central to Eric’s leadership. The work is not finished because something launches. It has to continue working after the launch.

Risk, Security and Responsibility

As Larym’s client environments have grown more complex, Eric’s responsibilities have expanded with them.

His work includes enterprise web operations, cloud and managed hosting environments, security remediation, access governance, credential management, infrastructure coordination, structured data, technical SEO, analytics, localization technology, digital asset management, and emerging AI-search requirements.

He has also worked in environments with heightened security and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA-related considerations and formal external security-posture monitoring and remediation.

For Eric, security is not something added after technology is built. It is part of the responsibility of building and operating technology in the first place.

The same is true of reliability, performance, access, recovery, and continuity.

His ability to understand technical detail while also considering financial, operational, and business consequences allows him to evaluate technology beyond whether it can be built. He considers whether it should be built that way, what it will require to maintain, what risks it introduces, and whether it can continue to serve the organization as needs change.

Operational Intelligence

Eric’s authority at Larym comes from more than technical fluency.

His background in accounting, financial management, operations, ecommerce, technology, and organizational leadership gives him a perspective that crosses traditional departmental boundaries.

He understands that a technical decision can become a financial decision. A security decision can become a reputational decision. An infrastructure decision can affect search visibility, customer experience, performance, and continuity. A platform that works today can become a liability tomorrow if no one has considered how it will be governed and maintained.

Eric sees those connections.

His instinct is to establish ownership, structure, accountability, and repeatable systems around work that might otherwise depend on informal knowledge or individual effort.

That is one of the reasons his leadership extends beyond development. He helps ensure that technology, people, risk, operations, and business responsibility continue working together as complexity increases.

Senior Leadership.  Deep Expertise

When Steve Kelly joined Larym in 2017, the senior leadership team gained another distinct form of creative authority.

By then, Eric and Myra had already spent nearly two decades working together. Steve’s arrival added a new dimension to a leadership model built around complementary expertise rather than interchangeable roles.

Today, the three work as Larym’s senior client-facing leadership while representing the expertise of the broader Larym team.

Eric’s role within that leadership is grounded in a simple but demanding responsibility: make certain what Larym builds can work, hold, improve, and continue.

Today

Today, Eric serves as Co-Founder and Managing Director of Larym Enterprise LLC.

He brings nearly three decades of experience to decisions involving technology, development, operations, finance, security, infrastructure, digital platforms, vendors, risk, and organizational continuity.

His value is not simply that he knows how technology works.

It is that he has spent his career developing the judgment to understand how technology fits within the larger system around it, how those systems can be improved, and what is required to sustain them responsibly.

Technology will continue to change.

Eric will continue to learn it, understand it, challenge it, and improve upon it.

That has been one of the constants of his career and one of the strengths he brings to Larym.
